Mallory McMorrow is an American politician currently serving as a Michigan State Senator since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, she represents the 8th district and previously represented the 13th district from 2019-2023. She assumed the role of Senate Majority Whip in January 2023. Before entering politics, McMorrow worked in industrial design, showcasing her diverse background prior to her political career.
In 2018, Mallory McMorrow was elected to the Michigan State Senate, representing the 13th district. She defeated incumbent Republican Senator Marty Knollenberg, receiving 52 percent of the vote.
In January 2019, Mallory McMorrow began her service in the Michigan Senate, representing the 13th district.
In June 2021, McMorrow introduced Senate Resolution 57 to declare June as Gun Violence Awareness Month, and co-sponsored Senate Resolution 60 to declare June as Pride Month in Michigan, which was adopted. She also introduced Senate Resolution 58 regarding electric vehicle charging stations.
