Matthew Rhys Evans is a Welsh actor best known for his roles in television. He achieved prominence as Kevin Walker in "Brothers & Sisters" (2006-2011) and particularly as Philip Jennings in the acclaimed spy drama "The Americans" (2013-2018), for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award and a Critics' Choice Television Award. Rhys also earned Emmy nominations for his guest appearance in "Girls" (2017) and his lead role in "Perry Mason" (2020-2023). More recently, he starred as Nile Jarvis in the crime thriller "The Beast in Me" (2025).
