Nik Bonitto is an American football linebacker currently playing for the Denver Broncos in the NFL. He played college football at the University of Oklahoma. Bonitto's professional career began when he was drafted by the Broncos, marking his transition from college athletics to the professional league.

In 2024, Bonitto became the first Broncos player to have double-digit sacks since Von Miller and Bradley Chubb in 2018.
Following the conclusion of the regular season, Nik Bonitto announced his decision to opt out of the 2021 Alamo Bowl and enter the 2022 NFL draft.
In 2022, Nik Bonitto announced his decision to forgo his redshirt senior season and enter the 2022 NFL draft, opting out of the 2021 Alamo Bowl.
In 2022, Nik Bonitto was selected by the Denver Broncos with the 64th pick in the second round of the 2022 NFL draft. The Broncos used the selection previously obtained from the Los Angeles Rams in a trade for Von Miller.
In 2023, after starting the season as a backup, Nik Bonitto started over Randy Gregory in Week 4 against the Chicago Bears, recording 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble. Gregory was traded soon after, and Bonitto was named the starter.
During the 2024 season, Nik Bonitto became the first Broncos player to have double-digit sacks since 2018, finishing with 13.5 sacks. He had a 70-yard interception return for a touchdown against the Cleveland Browns and a 50-yard interception return against the Indianapolis Colts. He made his first Pro Bowl appearance and was named second-team All-Pro.
On September 4, 2025, Nik Bonitto signed a four-year, $106 million contract extension (up to $120 million if incentives are met) with the Broncos, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in Broncos history.
In 2025, Nik Bonitto was ranked 38th by his fellow NFL players on the Top 100 Players of 2025 list, marking his first appearance on the list.
