Outdoor Voices is an American athletic apparel company founded in 2013 by Tyler Haney and Matt McIntyre. Headquartered in Austin, the company primarily sells its products online. In February 2020, Tyler Haney resigned as CEO, and Cliff Moskowitz became the interim CEO.
In 2013, Outdoor Voices was cofounded in New York City by Tyler Haney and Matt McIntyre. The company focused on designing and selling athletic apparel in 2013.
In October 2014, Outdoor Voices opened its first store in Austin, Texas.

In 2016, Tyler Haney decided to move Outdoor Voices to Austin, Texas to focus on building a new and bigger headquarters. The company hired more employees, including some of Haney's friends from high school.
In the summer of 2017, Mickey Drexler, the former CEO of Gap Inc. and J. Crew Group, Inc., became the chairman of the board for Outdoor Voices.
As of March 2018, Outdoor Voices had raised roughly $57 million in funding. Lead investors included GV, General Catalyst Partners, and Forerunner Ventures.
On April 24, 2018, Outdoor Voices launched a running collection with Hoka One One. They also released a corresponding app called O.V. Trail Shop on April 24, 2018. The app features the nearest Trail Shops where the new running collection can be found.
In 2018, Outdoor Voices valuation was $110 million. By January of 2020, the company's valuation had dropped to $40 million.
In February 2020, Tyler Haney stepped down as CEO of Outdoor Voices as part of an effort to restructure the company. Several executives also left the company abruptly. An anonymous letter criticized Haney's leadership.
On February 25, 2020, Tyler Haney resigned from her position as CEO of Outdoor Voices. Cliff Moskowitz, the president of a fashion-oriented private equity firm, was appointed as the interim CEO on February 25, 2020.
By March 2020, Outdoor Voices had "imploded," according to The New York Times. Outdoor Voices indicated that there would be an additional 15 layoffs across the company.
In March 2024, Outdoor Voices announced that all of its stores would close, and the company would become online-only.
On March 21, 2024, former employees confirmed that Outdoor Voices was preparing to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization within the coming weeks.
