Panic! at the Disco was an American pop rock band created in 2004 in Las Vegas by childhood friends Ryan Ross, Spencer Smith, Brent Wilson, and Brendon Urie. The band went through multiple lineup changes, eventually becoming a solo project for frontman Brendon Urie in 2015. Panic! at the Disco officially ended in 2023. The band gained fame with albums like "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out," known for its emo-pop sound, and later evolved towards a more pop-oriented style.

December 2004: Signing with Decaydance Records

Around December 2004, Panic! at the Disco signed with Pete Wentz's Fueled by Ramen imprint label Decaydance Records, becoming the first band on the new label.
