Quentin Marshall Grimes is an American professional basketball player currently affiliated with the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA. His collegiate basketball journey took him through the Kansas Jayhawks and the Houston Cougars before turning professional.
Right after graduating high school in June 2018, Grimes played for the United States in the FIBA Americas U18 Championship. The team won gold, and Grimes earned the MVP award.
On August 6, 2021, the New York Knicks announced that they had officially signed Quentin Grimes to their roster.
On July 18, 2022, Grimes was named to the All-NBA Summer League First Team after a strong performance where he led the Knicks in scoring during the championship game.
On February 8, 2024, the Detroit Pistons traded for Quentin Grimes, sending Bojan Bogdanović and Alec Burks to the Knicks.
In a trade with the Detroit Pistons, the Dallas Mavericks acquired Quentin Grimes on June 28, 2024.
In 2024, a second-round draft pick will be traded.
