In the 2025 U.S Open at Oakmont Country Club, MacIntyre finished in second position. Having started his final-round seven-strokes behind the leader, he shot a two-under-par round on the final day to finish at one-over-par for the tournament, two-strokes behind champion J. J. Spaun.
