On November 21, 2021, Roony Bardghji made his senior debut for Copenhagen against AGF in the Danish Superliga. Seven days later in November 2021, he scored his first goal for Copenhagen in a 3–1 win against AaB.

On October 25, 2022, Roony Bardghji made his UEFA Champions League debut, coming off the bench in the 62nd minute during a 3–0 defeat against Sevilla.
On January 7, 2023, Roony Bardghji signed a new contract with Copenhagen, extending his stay until December 2025.

On October 1, 2025, Bardghji was called up to the Sweden national football team for the first time. On October 10, 2025, Bardghji made his first appearance for the national team in the 85th minute of a 2–0 loss against Switzerland in the 2026 UEFA World cup qualifiers.

In the 2026 Supercopa de España, Roony Bardghji scored a goal and provided two assists in the semi-final against Athletic Bilbao. Barcelona won the final against Real Madrid, securing the 2026 Supercopa de España title.
