Scottie Barnes is a professional basketball player for the Toronto Raptors. After a year of college basketball at Florida State where he earned all-conference honors, he was drafted fourth overall by the Raptors in 2021. Barnes was named NBA Rookie of the Year in 2022. He achieved his first NBA All-Star selection in 2024, making him the first from his draft class to do so. He was selected as an NBA All-Star for the second time in 2026.
In 1999, Vince Carter won the NBA Rookie of the Year award, making Scottie Barnes the first Raptor to win the award in 23 years since Carter.
