Seranthony Domínguez is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher currently playing for the Toronto Blue Jays in MLB. He previously played for the Philadelphia Phillies and Baltimore Orioles. Domínguez signed with the Phillies as an international free agent in 2011 and made his Major League debut in 2018. He is known for his pitching abilities in professional baseball.
May 7, 2018 was the date of the MLB debut for Domínguez, making him the only major league reliever in recorded baseball history dating back to 1908 to record at least two outs and allow no runs, hits, or walks in his first five major-league appearances.
In 2018, Domínguez's 16 saves tied Jack Meyer's 1955 record for the most saves by a Phillies rookie reliever.

In 2013, Domínguez returned to the DSL, achieving a 4–6 record, a 2.96 ERA, and 58 strikeouts in 76 innings. He also led the Dominican Summer League in shutouts (2) and complete games (2).
In 2014, Domínguez played for the GCL Phillies, posting a 2–2 record and a 3.12 ERA with 24 strikeouts in 26 relief innings.
In 2015, Domínguez played with the GCL Phillies, recording a 1–1 record with a 2.35 ERA and 9 strikeouts in 7.2/3 innings.
In 2016, Domínguez pitched for both the Class A Short-Season Williamsport Crosscutters and Class A Lakewood BlueClaws, achieving a combined 6–3 record and a 2.34 ERA in 13 starts with 65 strikeouts in 65.1/3 innings.
In 2017, Domínguez played for the Class A-Advanced Clearwater Threshers, achieving a 4–4 record and a 3.61 ERA with 75 strikeouts in 62.1/3 innings. He was also named a 2017 Florida State League Mid-Season All-Star. The Phillies added him to their 40-man roster after the 2017 season and converted him into a relief pitcher.
On May 7, 2018, Domínguez was promoted to the Phillies and made his MLB debut the same night. He is the only major league reliever in recorded baseball history to record at least two outs and allow no runs, hits, or walks in his first five major-league appearances. He also became the first pitcher in recorded history to not allow a run, hit, or walk in his first six appearances.
In 2018, Domínguez began the season with the Double-A Reading Fightin Phils, going 1–2 with a 2.08 ERA. He was then promoted to the Triple-A Lehigh Valley IronPigs in late April, where he went 1–0 with a 0.00 ERA. Between the two minor league teams, Domínguez gave up 8 hits and 2 walks, and struck out 21 batters in 16.2/3 innings.

In 2019, Domínguez had a 3–0 record with a 4.74 ERA in 24+2⁄3 innings over 27 relief appearances, striking out 29 batters. His season ended early due to a damaged ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow.
On July 30, 2020, Domínguez underwent Tommy John surgery, more than a year after being placed on the injured list.
On February 17, 2021, Domínguez was placed on the 60-day injured list as he continued to recover from Tommy John surgery.
In the 2022 regular season, Domínguez had a 6–5 record with nine saves and a 3.00 ERA, striking out 61 batters in 54 innings over 54 relief appearances. He also earned a save in game 3 of the NLCS against the San Diego Padres and pitched in 9 postseason games.
On February 16, 2023, Domínguez signed a two-year, $7.25 million contract extension with the Phillies.
In 2023, Domínguez had a 3.78 ERA and struck out 48 batters in 50 relief innings and 57 appearances. He also missed time due to an oblique strain and made 6 appearances in the postseason.
On July 26, 2024, Domínguez was traded to the Baltimore Orioles alongside Cristian Pache in exchange for Austin Hays.
In 2024, Domínguez made 38 appearances for Philadelphia, compiling a 4.75 ERA with 40 strikeouts across 36 innings. He was the second longest-tenured Phillie prior to being traded.
On July 29, 2025, Domínguez was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for pitching prospect Juaron Watts-Brown.
