Spaceballs

Spaceballs, a 1987 Mel Brooks film, is a comedic parody of the original Star Wars trilogy and other sci-fi/fantasy franchises. The movie follows mercenary pilot Lone Starr (Bill Pullman) and his Mog partner Barf (John Candy) as they attempt to rescue Princess Vespa (Daphne Zuniga) from the evil Spaceballs, led by President Skroob (Mel Brooks) and his second-in-command, Dark Helmet (Rick Moranis). The Spaceballs are trying to steal all of Planet Druidia's air. The film is filled with slapstick humor, meta-references, and spoofs of iconic scenes from various films.
