Troy Dannen is an American college athletics administrator. He is the current athletic director at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, a position he assumed in March 2024. This is his second stint at Nebraska–Lincoln, having previously served as the athletic director from 2016 to 2021. He has also held the athletic director position at the University of Washington, Tulane University, and the University of Northern Iowa.
Troy Dannen graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1989 with a bachelor's degree in public relations and a minor in journalism.
In 2001, Tulane's baseball team participated in the College World Series.
In 2002, Troy Dannen took on the role of director at the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union, a position he held until 2008.
