Anfernee Tyrik Simons is an American professional basketball player currently playing for the Boston Celtics in the NBA. He was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round (24th overall) of the 2018 NBA draft after playing a postgraduate year at IMG Academy.
In the 2018 NBA Draft, Anfernee Simons became the third high school player since 2015 to be drafted into the NBA.
In 2017, Anfernee Simons graduated from Edgewater High School and averaged 23.8 points in his last year. Afterwards, he attended IMG Academy for a postgraduate year and played for the United States men's national under-19 basketball team during the summer.
