2016: Wins Copa Sevilla ATP Challenger Tournament

In September 2016, Casper Ruud won the Copa Sevilla, his first ATP Challenger tournament, by beating Taro Daniel in the final. He became the fourth-youngest to ever do so and recorded his first wins over top 150 players. He also received a wildcard to the 2016 Chengdu Open, losing to Viktor Troicki in the first round.
