JT Daniels is an American college football coach and former quarterback, currently serving as an offensive analyst for the University of West Georgia (since 2024). He had a notable college football career, playing for four different programs: USC Trojans, Georgia Bulldogs, West Virginia Mountaineers, and Rice Owls.
On February 2, 2000, Jonathan Tyler Daniels was born. He later became a college football coach and former quarterback.
In December 2017, Daniels announced that he would graduate early from high school and reclassify to the 2018 class.
In June 2018, Daniels enrolled at USC upon completing his high school coursework.
In August 2018, Daniels was named the starting quarterback for USC, becoming the second true freshman in school history to start a season opener.
During the 2019 season opener against Fresno State, Daniels tore his ACL during a sack in the second quarter and was ruled out for the remainder of the year.
On April 16, 2020, Daniels entered his name in the NCAA transfer portal.
On May 28, 2020, Daniels announced he would be transferring to the University of Georgia.
During the 2021 season, Daniels experienced time as the starting quarterback at Georgia, but was also sidelined with an oblique injury, leading to inconsistent playing time.
On April 13, 2022, JT Daniels announced his intention to transfer to West Virginia University.
On December 20, 2022, Daniels announced his intention to transfer to Rice University.
On September 10, 2023, Daniels led Rice to a 43-41 victory against Houston in the Bayou Bucket Classic, throwing for a career-high 401 yards and three touchdowns.
On December 1, 2023, Daniels medically retired from football due to multiple concussions.
On March 19, 2024, Daniels was hired as a graduate assistant at the University of West Georgia.
In 2024, JT Daniels became the offensive analyst for the University of West Georgia.
