Kevin Fiala is a Swiss professional ice hockey player currently playing left wing for the Los Angeles Kings in the NHL. Drafted 11th overall by the Nashville Predators in 2014, Fiala developed his skills playing for Malmö Redhawks and HV71 in Sweden. After being drafted, he transitioned to North America, splitting time between the Predators and their AHL affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals, before establishing himself in the NHL.
In 2003, Andrei Kostitsyn and Vadim Karaga became the first two players to play in the under-18, World Junior, and World Championship in the same year. Kevin Fiala later joined this list.
In 2009, Kevin Fiala played in the Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with the Swiss Eastern team.

In 2018, Kevin Fiala participated in the IIHF World Championship where the Swiss team won silver, after losing to Sweden in a shootout. Fiala had a chance to win the gold in overtime but his shot went too low.
On February 25, 2019, Kevin Fiala was traded to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for Mikael Granlund after tallying 10 goals and 32 points in 64 games with the Predators.
On September 11, 2019, Kevin Fiala signed a two-year contract extension with the Minnesota Wild.
On August 16, 2021, Kevin Fiala agreed to a one-year, $5.1 million contract with the Minnesota Wild.
On June 29, 2022, Kevin Fiala was traded by the Wild to the Los Angeles Kings for Brock Faber and a first-round pick in 2022. Following the trade, he signed a seven-year contract extension with the Kings.
In 2023, on January 5, Kevin Fiala was named to the 2023 NHL All-Star Game, which was his first selection. He also led the team in assists.
In 2024, Kevin Fiala represented Switzerland at the IIHF World Championship and won a silver medal.
On June 15, 2025, Kevin Fiala was selected for the Swiss 2026 Winter Olympics ice hockey team.
On February 14, 2025, it was announced that Kevin Fiala would miss the remainder of the 2025-26 NHL season due to an injury he suffered during the 2026 Winter Olympics.
In 2026, during the third period of Team Switzerland's game against Team Canada on February 13, Kevin Fiala and Canada's Tom Wilson collided. Fiala was stretchered off the ice and on February 14, it was announced he had undergone surgery and would miss the remainder of the Olympics.
