Kwena Tshegofatso Maphaka is a South African international cricketer, known for his left-arm fast bowling. He gained prominence representing South Africa in the Under-19 World Cup, notably taking 3 wickets against India in the semi-final. In 2024, he debuted in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with the Mumbai Indians after being initially acquired by the Rajasthan Royals.

On 6 October 2023, Kwena Maphaka made his List A debut during the Division 2 of the 2023 CSA One-Day Cup. Playing for South Africa Emerging Players, he took 3 wickets against Limpopo to help his side win. However, he had a tough day in the final against Free State Knights, conceding 65 runs without taking a wicket.
In December 2023, Kwena Maphaka was named in South Africa's national under-19 squad for the 2024 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
In March 2024, Kwena Maphaka joined his brother Tetelo in the Lions squad and made his debut against Boland in the CSA T20 Challenge competition.
In March 2024, Kwena Maphaka was named as a replacement for the injured Dilshan Madushanka in the Mumbai Indians' squad for the 2024 Indian Premier League. He played two matches, becoming the youngest South African and third-youngest overseas player to feature in the IPL.
In August 2024, Kwena Maphaka was named in the South African squad for the T20i leg of their tour of the West Indies. On 23 August 2024, he made his T20i debut, becoming the youngest South African man to play international cricket. He claimed match figures of 1/25 in 3.5 overs, with Rovman Powell as his first international wicket.
In December 2024, Kwena Maphaka was called to replace Gerald Coetzee, who suffered a groin injury, for the second Test against Sri Lanka.
On 19 December 2024, Kwena Maphaka became the youngest ODI debutant for South Africa and picked up figures of 4/72 against Pakistan. He took the wicket of Babar Azam as his first test wicket.
During the 2024 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, Kwena Maphaka achieved several milestones, including taking a match-winning five-wicket haul against West Indies and claiming a record three five-wicket hauls in the tournament. He ended the campaign with 21 wickets. He also took 3 wickets against India in the semi-finals.
In 2024, Kwena Maphaka made his debut with Mumbai Indians in the IPL. He was later bought by Rajasthan Royals.
In 2024, Kwena Maphaka missed the SA20 tournament due to his participation in the Under-19 World Cup.
