Masataka Yoshida, nicknamed "Macho Man," is a Japanese professional baseball player currently playing for the Boston Red Sox of MLB as a designated hitter and left fielder. Prior to joining the Red Sox, he played for the Orix Buffaloes in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB).

On October 1, 2019, Yoshida was selected to represent Japan in the 2019 WBSC Premier12.

In early October of 2024, Yoshida underwent right shoulder labral repair surgery after appearing in 108 games and batting .280 with 10 home runs and 56 RBI during the season.
On May 22, 2025, Yoshida was transferred to the 60-day injured list due to the shoulder surgery he had during the offseason.
