NC Dinos

The NC Dinos are a professional baseball team in the KBO League, based in Changwon, South Korea. Their home stadium is Changwon NC Park since 2019. The team is owned by NCSoft Corporation, a video game developer.

July 2010: Changwon Integration

In July 2010, Changwon, Masan, and Jinhae were integrated into one city, Changwon, becoming the eleventh largest city in South Korea and attracting a baseball team project.

December 2010: NCSoft's Plan

On 22 December 2010, NCSoft submitted a plan to found a baseball team and get admitted to the KBO. Changwon became the first non-metropolitan city with a baseball team.

May 2012: KBO Admission Approved

On 8 May 2012, the Korea Baseball Organization officially approved the NC Dinos' admission to the KBO League for the 2013 season.

April 2013: First Game Victory

On 11 April 2013, the NC Dinos achieved their first victory in club history against the LG Twins.

2013: Foreign Player Roster

In 2013, the Dinos, as a new team, were allowed three foreign players on their roster.

2013: KBO League Season

In the 2013 season, NC Dinos joined the KBO League.

2014: Foreign Player Limit Increased

In 2014, the foreign player limit for the Dinos was raised to four. The 2014 Dinos signed pitchers Charlie Shirek, Eric Hacker, and Thad Weber, as well as outfielder Eric Thames.

2019: New Home Stadium

In 2019, the NC Dinos' home stadium became Changwon NC Park.

November 2020: Korean Series Championship

In November 2020, the NC Dinos won their first Korean Series championship, defeating the Doosan Bears four games to two, after finishing the 2020 regular season in first place.
