Oman Football Association

The Oman Football Association (OFA) is the governing body for football in Oman. Established in 1978, the OFA gained membership in both the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and FIFA in 1980. It oversees the development and regulation of football within Oman, including national teams and domestic leagues.

1942: Maqboul Club Founded

In 1942, the Maqboul Club, later known as the Oman Club, was founded as the first documented football club in the Sultanate.
