The OnePlus Nord is a mid-range Android smartphone from OnePlus, released on July 21, 2020, as the first in the Nord series. It marks OnePlus' return to the mid-range market since the OnePlus X in 2015. The phone is available in Europe, India, Hong Kong and Malaysia. Some suggest its availability is focused on markets where outright purchases of affordable smartphones are favored over carrier-subsidized, high-end devices.

Also, OnePlus released Oxygen OS 10.5.3, a small update which improved system stability, on August 5th, 2020 and an update that updated the firmware to 10.5.4 was released on August 10th, 2020 which included display and camera improvements, shortened the launch time of the gallery app, and it fixes an issue with background music playing while using the front camera.

On September 30, 2020, OxygenOS 10.5.8 was released in a staggered fashion for the OnePlus Nord. It was a minor update, with increased stability for network, display, and camera OIS.
On March 1, 2021, the OnePlus Nord began receiving its first stable build of Android 11 via an OxygenOS 11 build.
