Parker County, Texas, established in 1855 and organized in 1856, had a population of 148,222 as of the 2020 census. Its county seat is Weatherford. The county is named in honor of Isaac Parker, a Texas state legislator responsible for introducing the bill that created the county. Parker also served in the Texas Brigade.
