He had a high-scoring weekend at the São Paulo Grand Prix, finishing seventh in the sprint, and third in a rain-affected Grand Prix after starting thirteenth. He then qualified a career-best third for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, but retired from the race with a mechanical issue in his third retirement of the season. Gasly ended the season on a high however, as he finished 5th in Qatar and 7th in Abu Dhabi.
