Scotty James is a prominent Australian snowboarder and a five-time Olympian. He represented Australia as the flag bearer at the 2018 Winter Olympics. At the same Olympics, he secured a bronze medal in the halfpipe event, marking a significant achievement in his snowboarding career.
In 2008, at the age of 14, Scotty James made his international debut at the Europa Cup in Saas Fee, Switzerland, competing in halfpipe and slopestyle events.
In 2010, James qualified for the Winter Olympics in Vancouver after achieving a 15th-place finish at the World Cup event in Stoneham, Canada. At 15, he was Australia's youngest male Olympian in 50 years and the youngest male competitor at the Vancouver Games. During training in Vancouver, James fractured his right wrist but still competed, finishing 21st.
