Vicky Nguyen is a Vietnamese-born American investigative journalist currently working with NBC News in New York City. She joined NBC News in April 2019 as an Investigative and Consumer correspondent. Her work is featured on several NBC platforms, including The Today Show, 3rd Hour Today, Nightly News with Lester Holt, NBC News Now and MSNBC. She is known for her investigative reporting.

2000: Graduated from University of San Francisco

In 2000, Vicky Nguyen graduated as valedictorian from the University of San Francisco with a degree in communications and a minor in biology. During her time in university, she was a member of the cheer squad and served as president of her student body.

January 2007: Joined NBC Bay Area

In January 2007, Vicky Nguyen returned to Northern California and began working with NBC Bay Area as a freelance reporter, eventually being hired full-time as a special assignment reporter for KNTV. She was later promoted to anchor/senior investigative reporter.
