Acie Law IV is a former American professional basketball player celebrated for his collegiate career at Texas A&M University. As a four-season player, he amassed 1,653 points and 540 assists. Known as "Captain Clutch" for his late-game heroics, Law is most famously remembered by Aggie fans for "The Shot," a game-winning buzzer-beater against the Texas Longhorns in 2006, and his pivotal role in the upset victory over Kansas in 2007. His contributions led Texas A&M to retire his No. 1 jersey, making him the first Aggie athlete to receive this honor.
In 1987, the Aggies earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the first time.
