Ansu Fati is a professional footballer, currently playing as a forward or winger for Monaco on loan from Barcelona. Born in Guinea-Bissau, he represents Spain internationally at both youth and senior levels. Fati is a dynamic attacking player known for his pace, dribbling skills, and goal-scoring ability. He rose through the ranks at Barcelona's La Masia academy and quickly became one of the most exciting young talents in world football before injuries hampered his progress. In October 2019, Ansu Fati was called up to the Spain under-21 team following an injury to Carles Pérez. He debuted for the team on October 15, 2019, against Montenegro.
In July 2020, Ansu Fati scored the 9,000th goal in Barcelona's history during a 4–1 win against Villarreal. He was later sent off in the derby match against Espanyol after fouling Fernando Calero.
In September 2020, Ansu Fati made his full international debut for Spain and scored his first goal, becoming the national team's youngest ever goalscorer at the age of 17 years and 311 days.
In September 2023, Ansu Fati joined Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion on a season-long loan deal and made his Albion debut on September 16, 2023. He scored his first goal for Brighton on September 30, 2023.
