Bismack Biyombo is a Congolese professional basketball player currently with the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA. Drafted seventh overall in 2011 by the Sacramento Kings, he was immediately traded to the Charlotte Bobcats. Throughout his NBA career, Biyombo has played for several teams, including the Toronto Raptors, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, Memphis Grizzlies and Oklahoma City Thunder, demonstrating his longevity and value as a player within the league.
Bismack Biyombo began the 2009 season with Fuenlabrada-Getafe in the Spanish fourth-tier Liga EBA before moving to CB Illescas in the Spanish third-tier LEB Plata.
In 2010, Bismack Biyombo started the season with CB Illescas.
On January 9, 2011, Bismack Biyombo debuted at age 18 in the Spanish ACB League with Fuenlabrada against DKV Joventut, recording 5 points and 7 rebounds.
In January 2011, Bismack Biyombo moved from CB Illescas to Baloncesto Fuenlabrada of the first-tier Liga ACB.
On December 19, 2011, Bismack Biyombo signed a multi-year deal with the Charlotte Bobcats.
In 2011, Bismack Biyombo was selected with the seventh overall pick in the NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings and subsequently traded to the Charlotte Bobcats (now Hornets).
In 2011, at the Nike Hoops Summit, Bismack Biyombo recorded a triple-double, with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 blocks for the World Select Team against the USA Select Team, marking the first recorded triple-double in the Summit's history.
In 2014, the Bobcats changed their name to the Hornets. Biyombo began the season in better form, however an acquisition and injury placed him in the starting lineup.
On June 30, 2015, the Charlotte Hornets decided not to extend a qualifying offer to Bismack Biyombo, making him an unrestricted free agent.
On July 18, 2015, Bismack Biyombo signed a two-year, $5.7 million contract with the Toronto Raptors.
