Buddy Hield is a Bahamian professional basketball player currently with the Golden State Warriors in the NBA. He gained prominence playing college basketball for the Oklahoma Sooners, earning multiple Player of the Year awards in 2015 and 2016, including the John R. Wooden Award and Naismith Award. Hield was drafted sixth overall by the New Orleans Pelicans in 2016. Since entering the NBA, he has played for the Sacramento Kings (traded for DeMarcus Cousins), the Indiana Pacers (traded for Domantas Sabonis), the Philadelphia 76ers, and the Golden State Warriors (involving a 6-team trade).
