Chris Jericho

June 28, 1997: Jericho Wins WCW Cruiserweight Championship

September 1997: Jericho's Final NJPW Match

March 12, 1998: Malenko Defeats Masked Wrestler

On the March 12, 1998, episode of Thunder, Dean Malenko defeated a wrestler wearing Juventud Guerrera's mask, seemingly Chris Jericho, but it was actually Lenny Lane who was bribed by Jericho. This ignited a minor feud between Lane and Jericho after Jericho refused to pay Lane.

March 30, 1998: Jericho Lists 1,004 Holds

On the March 30, 1998, episode of Nitro, Chris Jericho defeated Marty Jannetty. After the match, Jericho pulled out a long pile of paper listing each of the 1,004 holds he knew, reciting them to the audience. Many of the holds were fictional.

September 23, 1998: Jericho Returns to NJPW
