Chris Jericho, born Christopher Keith Irvine, is a highly successful American-Canadian professional wrestler, musician, and actor. He is currently signed with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he made history as the first-ever AEW World Champion. Jericho is known for his charismatic personality, in-ring skills, and ability to reinvent himself throughout his career. Beyond wrestling, he fronts the rock band Fozzy, showcasing his musical talents and further cementing his status as a versatile entertainer.
On November 9, 1970, Christopher Keith Irvine, known as Chris Jericho, was born in Manhasset, New York.
On October 2, 1990, Chris Jericho made his wrestling debut as "Cowboy" Chris Jericho at the Moose Hall in Ponoka, Alberta, wrestling to a ten-minute draw against Storm.

In August 1996, at The Doctor Is In, Chris Jericho made his final appearance for ECW, losing to 2 Cold Scorpio. It was during this time that World Championship Wrestling (WCW) took notice of him.
On August 20, 1996, Chris Jericho debuted for WCW by defeating Mr. JL; the match aired on the August 31 episode of Saturday Night.
In January 1997, Chris Jericho debuted for New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) as Super Liger, the masked nemesis of Jyushin Thunder Liger. The gimmick was poorly received and dropped instantly after his first match against Koji Kanemoto.
In May 1997, Chris Jericho competed in the Best of the Super Juniors IV tournament for NJPW, placing joint second in block B.
On June 28, 1997, at a Saturday Nitro live event in Los Angeles, Chris Jericho defeated Syxx to win the WCW Cruiserweight Championship, his first championship with WCW.
In September 1997, Chris Jericho's stint with NJPW ended when he was recalled by WCW. His final match, held in the Nippon Budokan, saw him team with Koji Kanemoto and Dr. Wagner Jr. in a loss to Jushin Thunder Liger, El Samurai, and Wild Pegasus.
On the March 12, 1998, episode of Thunder, Dean Malenko defeated a wrestler wearing Juventud Guerrera's mask, seemingly Chris Jericho, but it was actually Lenny Lane who was bribed by Jericho. This ignited a minor feud between Lane and Jericho after Jericho refused to pay Lane.
On the March 30, 1998, episode of Nitro, Chris Jericho defeated Marty Jannetty. After the match, Jericho pulled out a long pile of paper listing each of the 1,004 holds he knew, reciting them to the audience. Many of the holds were fictional.
On September 23, 1998, Chris Jericho made a one-night return to NJPW at the Big Wednesday show, teaming with Black Tiger to unsuccessfully challenge Shinjiro Otani and Tatsuhito Takaiwa for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship.
In 1999, Chris Jericho became the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Fozzy.
In 1999, Chris Jericho began a feud with Perry Saturn, involving bizarre stipulation matches such as a "loser must wear a dress" match. Jericho also alternated between WCW and Japanese tours before signing with WWF.
