Chris Lemonis is an American college baseball coach. He is the current head coach of the Mississippi State Bulldogs baseball team. His career is dedicated to coaching baseball at the collegiate level.

On January 22, 1970, Christopher Michael Lemonis was born. He would later become an American college baseball coach.
In 1988, Lemonis graduated from Socastee High School in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
From 1990 to 1993, Lemonis played at first base for The Citadel Bulldogs baseball team and appeared in the 1990 College World Series.
In 1990, Chris Lemonis played college baseball as a first baseman at The Citadel, where he appeared with the team in the 1990 College World Series.
In 1991, Chris Lemonis was selected for the All-Southern Conference Second Team.

From 2003 to 2006, Lemonis served as the associate head coach at The Citadel, contributing to five NCAA tournament appearances and producing seven All-Americans during his time on staff.
On June 30, 2006, Lemonis joined Dan McDonnell at Louisville as an assistant coach.

In 2006, Lemonis ended his time as an assistant coach for The Citadel, during which the team qualified for the NCAA tournament five times and had seven All-American players.

In 2013, Lemonis was named the American Baseball Coaches Association/Baseball America Assistant Coach of the Year while at Louisville.
On July 24, 2014, Lemonis was hired as the head baseball coach at Indiana.
In 2014, Lemonis' tenure as an assistant coach at Louisville ended. During his time there, Louisville made seven NCAA tournament appearances including the 2007 College World Series.
In 2015, Lemonis held his first head coaching position at Indiana.
In his first season with the Hoosiers during the 2015 NCAA Division I baseball season, they went 35–24 (12–10 in the Big Ten) in the regular season.
In 2016, Lemonis finished the season with the Hoosiers at 32-24 overall and 15-9 in conference play. They were invited to the Big Ten tournament where they lost to Maryland in the second round.
Following the conclusion of the 2017 regular season, Lemonis and the Hoosiers finished 34–24–2 overall and 14–9–1 in conference play. After a second round exit in the 2017 Big Ten tournament, the Hoosiers were invited to the 2017 NCAA tournament, where they were eventually eliminated following a loss to Kentucky.
On June 25, 2018, Mississippi State announced the hiring of Lemonis as head baseball coach, formally ending Lemonis' tenure with the Hoosiers.
In 2018, Lemonis and his Hoosiers finished the regular season 40–19 overall, Lemonis' highest win total in a season in his 4-year tenure with Indiana. The Hoosiers were selected to play in the 2018 NCAA tournament, and eventually lost in the final round of the Austin Regional to Texas.
In 2018, Lemonis ended his head coaching position at Indiana. During his time there, Indiana had 141 wins and three NCAA tournament appearances.
In 2019, Lemonis became head coach at Mississippi State, and the team appeared in the 2019 College World Series.
Lemonis's 2020 season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, after a 12-4 start.
In 2021, Lemonis led Mississippi State to a 50–18 record and the 2021 College World Series title, the first team national championship in Mississippi State sports history.
