Christian Kirksey is a former American football linebacker who played in the NFL. Kirksey played college football at the University of Iowa and was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Over his NFL career, he also played for the Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans, and Buffalo Bills, demonstrating his versatility and experience within the league.
On August 31, 1992, Christian Paul Kirksey was born. He later became a linebacker in the NFL.
In 2009, Christian Kirksey placed ninth in the triple jump at the MSHSAA State T&F Championships, with a leap of 44 ft 1 in.
In 2010, Christian Kirksey enrolled at the University of Iowa and became a member of the Iowa Hawkeyes football team, playing primarily on special teams as a freshman.
In 2010, Christian Kirksey placed fourth in the long jump and took bronze in the triple jump at the Suburban North Conference Championship.
In 2011, Christian Kirksey started all 13 games for the Iowa Hawkeyes, recording 62 tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, three pass break-ups, and two forced fumbles.
In 2012, Christian Kirksey was named a team captain as a junior. He recorded 95 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and two quarterback sacks.
On December 30, 2013, Christian Kirksey accepted an invitation to the 2014 Senior Bowl.
In 2013, Christian Kirksey, as a senior and team captain, started all 13 games at outside linebacker, finishing third on the team with 104 tackles and earning honorable mention All-Big Ten Conference.
On January 25, 2014, Christian Kirksey participated in the Senior Bowl, recording six combined tackles with 1.5 tackles for a loss.
