Colton Parayko is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman and alternate captain for the St. Louis Blues in the NHL. Raised in St. Albert, Alberta, he played minor hockey before attending the University of Alaska Fairbanks on a scholarship. Initially undrafted, he was selected 86th overall in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft by the Blues. Parayko played three seasons with the Alaska Nanooks, earning All-WCHA First Team and West Second-Team All-American honors, before starting his professional career with the Blues in 2015.
