Daniel Arsham is an American visual artist based in New York City. His work often explores themes of decay, erosion, and future archaeology, blurring the lines between past, present, and future. Arsham is known for creating sculptures, installations, and architectural interventions that incorporate materials like selenite, volcanic ash, and other geological substances to simulate objects frozen in time or unearthed from a dystopian future. He has collaborated with various brands and figures across fashion, sports, and music, further expanding his reach and influence in contemporary art and culture.

In 2003, Arsham received the Gelman Trust Fellowship Award and also won the 37th GNMH Award.
By 2005, Galerie Perrotin in Paris started representing Daniel Arsham.
In 2005, Daniel Arsham was commissioned by fashion designer Hedi Slimane to design the fitting rooms for Dior Homme's Los Angeles shop, incorporating his signature plaster erosions.
In 2006, modern dance choreographer Merce Cunningham asked Daniel Arsham to design the set, lighting and costumes for his piece, "eyeSpace."
In 2007, Arsham founded Snarkitecture with Alex Mustonen. The architecture collaboration has worked with fashion brands, interior and architectural design, and functional design objects.
In 2007, Jonah Bokaer performed choreography inspired by Daniel Arsham's work at Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin in Paris. Bokaer and Arsham collaborated on "REPLICA", a performance piece.
In 2007, the performance "eyeSpace", for which Daniel Arsham designed the set, lighting, and costumes, premiered at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Miami.
In 2008, Snarkitecture, a collaborative practice, was established by Daniel Arsham and architect Alex Mustonen.
In 2009, Merce Cunningham passed away. Daniel Arsham was the last artist to collaborate with Cunningham before his death.
In February 2010, Daniel Arsham's architectural practice Snarkitecture combined with his performance work with Bokaer for "Why Patterns", which had its world premiere at Rotterdamse Schouwburg in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

In 2012, Daniel Arsham/Snarkitecture were selected as one of three artists to contribute artwork to the new baseball stadium located on the site of the Orange Bowl near downtown Miami. Their project included the illumination of four super columns and a marker to commemorate the site of the former Orange Bowl.
In 2014, Daniel Arsham established a film company called Films of the Future to create a visual setting for his artwork. The company's debut series, Future Relic, consists of nine short films.
In 2014, Daniel Arsham was named in Hypebeast's HB100 list, and he has continued to remain on the Top 100 list to date.
In June 2017, the new installation by Daniel Arsham and Adidas opened at KITH New York. The store was transformed into an "audio, visual and tactile experience."
In October 2017, the Arsham Fieg gallery, located inside KITH New York, opened.
In 2017, Japanese illustrator Hajime Sorayama approached Daniel Arsham with an idea for a collaborative work.
In May 2019, Daniel Arsham collaborated with Rimowa on a 500 piece limited edition series of eroded suitcase sculptures contained in functional Rimowa attaché cases.
In 2019, Daniel Arsham created the site-specific installation "Moving Basketball". It was later incorporated into the renovation of the team shop at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
In November 2020, Daniel Arsham was appointed as the first-ever Creative Director of the Cleveland Cavaliers. As a Cleveland native, Arsham was tasked with overseeing the team's visual identity, and became a minority partner in the team.
In 2020, Kim Jones, artistic director of Dior Homme, enlisted Daniel Arsham to do the runway set design for the Spring/Summer season, created ad campaigns, and released a 'Future Relics' capsule of iconic Dior collectibles.
In September 2021, the jewelry brand Tiffany & Co. collaborated with Daniel Arsham on a limited edition of 49 sculptures and coordinating diamond and tsavorite encrusted knot bangles.
In January 2022, Daniel Arsham released an animated Pokémon short titled "A Ripple in Time" by Pokémon × Daniel Arsham, via the official Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel.
In September 2022, Daniel Arsham and Rimowa released two 500 piece limited editions of pilots cases in silver or black containing eroded turntable sculptures.
