Danté Exum is an Australian professional basketball player currently playing for the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA. He was drafted fifth overall by the Utah Jazz in the 2014 NBA draft, foregoing the traditional college route. Known for his athleticism and potential, Exum's career has been marked by periods of promise interspersed with injuries. He has also represented the Australian national team in international competitions.

On 28 January 2014, Danté Exum signed with agents from Landmark Sports and declared for the 2014 NBA draft.
In 2014, Danté Exum played for Australia at the FIBA World Cup, where he averaged 2.7 points in six games.
In August 2015, Danté Exum sustained a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee while playing for Australia in Slovenia, causing him to miss the entire 2015–16 season after undergoing surgery.
In 2015, Danté Exum was selected to compete in the Rising Stars Challenge during the NBA All-Star Weekend in New York.
In 2016, Danté Exum returned to action, playing in 28 of the first 29 games of the season. On March 11, he scored a career-high 22 points in a loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
In October 2017, Danté Exum underwent shoulder surgery.
In March 2018, Danté Exum made his first appearance of the season on March 15, finishing with 10 points in a win over the Phoenix Suns. On March 30, he scored a season-high 21 points in a win over the Memphis Grizzlies.
On 27 December 2018, Exum scored a season-high 20 points in a loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.
In January 2019, Danté Exum suffered an ankle sprain on January 5 against the Detroit Pistons, ruling him out for a couple of weeks. Later, he sustained a partially torn patellar tendon on March 15 after returning on March 11.
On 24 December 2019, Danté Exum was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for Jordan Clarkson.
In 2020, Danté Exum played for the Australian national team and won a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
On 16 January 2021, Danté Exum was traded to the Houston Rockets in a multi-player deal that sent James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets. He did not appear in any regular season games for Houston.
On 17 September 2021, Exum re-signed with the Rockets.
On 10 July 2022, Exum signed with Partizan NIS Belgrade of the ABA League and the EuroLeague.
On 14 July 2023, Exum signed with the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA.
During the 2024 NBA season, Exum made 18 appearances (12 starts) for the team.
On 14 March 2025, Exum was ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering a broken bone in his left hand during a game against the Houston Rockets.
