Doral, Florida, is a principal city within the Miami metropolitan area, situated in Miami-Dade County. It's located approximately 5 miles west of Miami International Airport and 13 miles west of Downtown Miami. Covering 15 square miles, Doral is bordered by major expressways and the Everglades. The city has experienced significant population growth, reaching 75,874 residents in 2020, a notable increase from 45,704 in 2010.
In 1989, Morgan Levy helped organize the West Dade Federation of Homeowner Associations, which successfully advocated for a police station instead of a jail and improved development standards.

On December 13, 2022, Doral elected its first female mayor, Christi Fraga, with 54.5% of the votes.
