Edwin S. Kneedler is an American lawyer notable for his extensive service as Deputy United States Solicitor General since 1993. He briefly served as acting United States Solicitor General in 2009. By his retirement in April 2025, Kneedler had argued 160 cases before the Supreme Court on behalf of the U.S. government, marking him as one of the most prolific advocates in modern history.
