Ethel Pritchard, also known as Ethel Watkins Taylor, was a New Zealand military and civilian nurse. She served in a nursing capacity.
In 1915, Ethel Pritchard, one of the few nurses of Māori descent, departed New Zealand with the first draft of 50 nurses to serve in World War I. She was stationed at the No. 15 General Hospital in Alexandria, Egypt.
On 5 July 1921, Ethel Watkins Taylor married Albert Pritchard Puha at St. Augustine Church in Napier.
In 1949, Ethel Pritchard was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the King's Birthday Honours for her long service as a district nurse and honorary child welfare officer.
Ethel Pritchard died on 19 July 1964 in Gisborne.
