Fabián Ruiz Peña, known as Fabián, is a Spanish professional footballer. He currently plays as a central midfielder for Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1 and represents the Spain national team. In 2004, at the age of eight, Fabián joined Real Betis' youth setup after starting at EF La Unión de Los Palacios.
In July 2014, Fabián was promoted to the Real Betis reserves team.
On August 23, 2015, Fabián made his debut in the main category of Spanish football, coming on as a substitute for Alfred N'Diaye in a 1–1 home draw against Villarreal.
In September 2017, Fabián scored his first goal in the top tier in a 4–0 home game against Levante.
In April 2018, Fabián scored the winning goal for Betis, securing UEFA Europa League qualification for the 2018–19 season.
In July 2018, Fabián joined Napoli on a five-year contract with Napoli reportedly paying Fabián's €30 million buyout clause.

On June 7, 2019, Fabián debuted for the Spain national team in a UEFA Euro 2020 qualifier against the Faroe Islands, coming on as a substitute. Four days later, he made his full debut against Sweden, assisting Mikel Oyarzabal's goal.
In 2019, Fabián renewed his contract and was immediately loaned to Elche.
In September 2022, Fabián debuted as a substitute in a 1–0 victory over Brest at the Parc des Princes.
On February 1, 2023, Fabián scored his first goal for PSG in a 3–1 win over Montpellier.
Fabián signed a five-year contract with Napoli until 2023.
In June 2024, Ruiz was named in Spain's squad for UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany. In the team's opening match of the tournament, he scored Spain's second goal as they beat Croatia 3–0 at Berlin's Olympiastadion.
