1904: First High School Football Team

Fordyce established the first high school football team in Arkansas in 1904.

March 10, 1907: Rail Connection Between Crossett and Fordyce

On March 10, 1907, the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad (CRI&PR) established a rail connection between Crossett and Fordyce, facilitating timber and lumber transportation between sawmills owned by Charles Warner Gates, John Wenzel Watzek, and Edward Savage Crossett.
