Gregory Soto is a professional baseball pitcher from the Dominican Republic, currently playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates in Major League Baseball (MLB). He debuted in MLB in 2019 with the Detroit Tigers and has since played for the Philadelphia Phillies, Baltimore Orioles, and New York Mets. Notably, Soto is a two-time All-Star, recognized for his performance and contributions on the field.

On December 26, 2012, Soto signed with the Detroit Tigers as an international free agent.
In 2013, Soto made his professional debut with the Dominican Summer League Tigers, achieving a 1–2 record and a 4.82 ERA.
In 2014, Soto returned to the Dominican Summer League Tigers, improving his record to 5–3 with a 3.20 ERA.
In 2015, Soto played with the Gulf Coast Tigers and Connecticut Tigers, achieving a combined 2–5 record and a 3.23 ERA.
In 2016, Soto played with Connecticut, achieving a 3–2 record with a 3.03 ERA and a 1.43 WHIP.
On November 20, 2017, the Tigers added Soto to their 40-man roster to protect him from the Rule 5 draft.
In 2017, Soto started with the West Michigan Whitecaps and was promoted to the Lakeland Flying Tigers. He was named the Tigers minor league pitcher of the year after going 12–2 with a 2.25 ERA.
In 2018, Soto played with Lakeland, achieving an 8–8 record with a 4.45 ERA.
On January 11, 2019, Soto was suspended for 20 games by Major League Baseball for "conduct detrimental to baseball" under Article XII(B).
On May 11, 2019, Soto made his major league debut against the Minnesota Twins, starting the second game of a doubleheader.
In 2019, Gregory Soto made his Major League Baseball debut with the Detroit Tigers. He is a two-time All-Star.
On August 29, 2020, Soto earned his first career save against the Twins.
In 2021, Soto made the Tigers Opening Day roster and was named to the American League All-Star team. On September 17, 2021, he suffered a fractured finger and was shut down for the season.
On January 7, 2023, the Tigers traded Soto to the Philadelphia Phillies.
On July 30, 2024, the Phillies traded Soto to the Baltimore Orioles.
In 2024, Soto made 43 appearances for Philadelphia, recording a 4.08 ERA with 44 strikeouts.
On July 25, 2025, the Orioles traded Soto to the New York Mets.
On December 16, 2025, Soto signed a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
