Gwinnett County, Georgia

Gwinnett County is a populous county in north central Georgia, part of Metro Atlanta and located northeast of Atlanta city limits. With a population of over 957,000 in 2020, it ranks as the second-most populous county in the state. Lawrenceville serves as its county seat. The county derives its name from Button Gwinnett, a signatory of the Declaration of Independence.
