Hassan Whiteside is a former American professional basketball player drafted by the Sacramento Kings in 2010. He gained prominence with the Miami Heat, earning an NBA All-Defensive Second Team selection in 2016, and leading the NBA in blocks the same year. Whiteside also led the league in rebounding in 2017. Later traded to the Portland Trail Blazers, he again led the league in blocks during his initial season. Notably, he also gained experience playing for teams in China and Lebanon before his NBA career.
