History of IEA Solar Heating and Cooling Programme in Timeline

It serves as a multilateral Technology Collaboration Programme. The IEA SHC TCP's mission is to highlight cutting-edge research and information in solar heating and cooling. 1977: IEA SHC TCP Founded

In 1977, the International Energy Agency Solar Heating and Cooling Technology Collaboration Programme (IEA SHC TCP) was founded as one of the first multilateral Technology Collaboration Programmes of the International Energy Agency.

2011: IEA SHC Announces International Conference

In 2011, the IEA SHC Executive Committee announced the creation of an annual international conference on solar heating and cooling for buildings and industry.

July 2012: SHC 2012 Conference

From 9–11 July 2012, the first SHC conference took place in San Francisco.

September 2013: SHC 2013 Conference

From 23–25 September 2013, the SHC 2013 conference took place in Freiburg, Germany, jointly with the European Solar Thermal Industry Federation (ESTIF).

2014: SHC 2014 Conference

In 2014, from 13–15 October, the SHC 2014 conference was held in Beijing, China.

2015: SHC 2015 Conference

In 2015, from 2–4 December, the SHC 2015 conference was held in Istanbul, Turkey, jointly with the European Solar Thermal Industry Federation (ESTIF).
