Invizimals is an augmented reality video game franchise created by Novarama and owned by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Launched in 2009 on the PSP, the game led to the creation of toys, trading cards, comics, and an animated television series, building an interconnected transmedia narrative. The core of Invizimals revolves around finding and collecting hidden creatures in the real world using the PSP's camera, merging real-world environments with virtual gameplay.

In 2010, Comansi secured the license to produce collectible figurines, Panini signed on for sticker albums and trading cards in Spain and Portugal, Edibas Collection agreed to produce trading cards and figures in Italy, and Safta produced school supplies for the Iberian market.

In October 2011, Invizimals: Shadow Zone, a collectible creature game for the PlayStation Portable, was released in North America.
In November 2011, Invizimals: The Lost Tribes, a collectible creature game for the PlayStation Portable, was released in Europe.
In 2011, Panini launched a line of sticker albums and cards that featured augmented reality connectivity with Invizimals and Invizimals: Shadow Zone, eventually licensing the brand for all territories in Europe due to sales surpassing 6 million units.
In September 2012, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced the production of a 26-episode Invizimals computer-animated TV series by BRB International, featuring augmented reality integration with Invizimals: The Alliance and the Invizimals: TV Tracker app.
As of September 2013, 10 million Invizimals: Hidden Challenges cards were sold with downloads topping 500,000.
On October 30, 2013, Invizimals: The Alliance, an augmented reality video game for the PlayStation Vita featuring cross-play multiplayer interactivity with Invizimals: The Lost Kingdom on PlayStation 3, was released in Europe.
On December 15 and 22, 2013, the two Invizimals TV movies premiered during Eleven's Toasted TV block in Australia, marking the English television debut of the series.
On December 6, 2013, the Invizimals TV series launched in Spain with a television movie on Super3 and Clan called Invizimals: The Alliance. A second TV movie, entitled Invizimals: A Tale of Two Dimensions, aired on both channels on December 27 and 31, respectively.
In 2013, IMC Toys acquired the global master license to produce toys based on the Invizimals series.
In September 2014, Invizimals: The Lost Tribes was released in North America.
As of October 2014, Panini had sold 44 million sticker packs and 31 million Invizimals trading cards in Europe.
On October 29, 2014, Invizimals: The Resistance, an augmented reality video game for the PlayStation Vita, was released in Europe.
The first regular episodes of the Invizimals TV series began airing on Super3 on November 29 and December 5, 2014, and on Clan. To promote the debut, local pop singer Abraham Mateo produced a song and music video called "Cazado" (Hunted).
In 2014, a separate app for the New Alliance line of the Invizimals franchise was launched.
On May 26, 2015, Invizimals: The Resistance, an augmented reality video game for the PlayStation Vita, was released in North America.
Regular episodes of the Invizimals series, excluding recuts of the TV movies, began airing in Australia on June 7, 2015.
On July 1, 2015, the first 13 episodes of Invizimals became available to stream on Netflix in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and other countries, under the name Invizimals: The Alliance Files.
In November 2015, the final 13 episodes of the Invizimals TV series began airing.
On October 15, 2016, the final batch of 13 Invizimals episodes started broadcast in Australia.
Between 2011 and 2016, Panini published a 37-issue Invizimals magazine that featured tips, comics, and previews for upcoming games, ending its publication in 2016.
On January 17, 2017, Invizimals began airing on Primo TV in the US.
