This performance tied a White Sox team record for the most strikeouts in a regular season game and also marked an MLB record for the most strikeouts in a game by a pitcher with an ERA above 6.00 at the start of the contest.
On June 18, 2023, Lance Lynn tied the franchise record for most strikeouts by a White Sox pitcher in a single game with 16 strikeouts against the Seattle Mariners in 7.1 innings.
On July 28, 2023, Lance Lynn, along with Joe Kelly, was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for Trayce Thompson, Nick Nastrini, and Jordan Leasure.
On November 21, 2023, Lynn signed a one-year contract with the Cardinals.
Following the 2023 season, the Dodgers declined the 2024 option on Lance Lynn's contract, making him a free agent.
