Mark Stone is a Canadian professional ice hockey player, currently serving as the right winger and captain for the Vegas Golden Knights in the NHL. Drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the sixth round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Stone has established himself as a prominent player in the league.
Mark Stone became the first player since Babe Dye of the Toronto St. Patricks in 1922 to score a hat trick in the Stanley Cup Final clinching game.

After a season with the Winnipeg Thrashers of the Manitoba Midget 'AAA' Hockey League, in which he competed in the 2008 Telus Cup, and won top scorer in the tournament, Stone began his major junior career with the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League (WHL) in 2008–09.

On November 17, 2011, Stone competed for Team WHL against the Russian under-20 select squad in the 2011 Subway Super Series, recording a goal and an assist and being named player of the game.
In December 2011, Mark Stone was chosen as one of 16 nominees for the 54th annual H. L. (Krug) Crawford Memorial Award for sporting excellence in southwestern Manitoba.
Following the 2010-2011 season, Mark Stone was named an Eastern Conference First Team All-Star.
On April 20, 2012, the Ottawa Senators announced Stone would be joining the team.
In 2012, Mark Stone was selected to Canada's junior team for the World Junior Championships in Alberta. He started strong with a hat-trick and an assist in the first game against Finland, earning him Canada's player of the game. After a semi-final loss to Russia, Canada won the bronze medal against Finland. Stone finished with a team-leading seven goals and ten points, and was named one of Canada's three best players.
Mark Stone made his NHL regular season debut on March 6, 2013, against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
On January 4, 2014, Mark Stone scored his first NHL goal against Carey Price of the Montreal Canadiens.
On November 7, 2014, the Senators announced that Stone would be staying with the NHL club for the remainder of the season due to his offensive success.
In 2014, Mark Stone tied with Johnny Gaudreau to lead all NHL rookies in scoring with 64 points and received a nomination for the Calder Memorial Trophy as the NHL's top rookie.
On January 31, 2015, Mark Stone played against his brother, Michael, in an NHL game for the first time. Mark's team, the Ottawa Senators, defeated Michael's team, the Arizona Coyotes, 7–2.
On April 23, 2015, Mark Stone was nominated for the Calder Memorial Trophy.

During the 2015–16 season, on a March 30 game against the Winnipeg Jets, Dustin Byfuglien delivered a devastating bodycheck to Stone that forced Stone to immediately leave the ice for concussion tests.

On March 8, 2019, Mark Stone signed an eight-year, US$76 million contract extension with the Vegas Golden Knights.
On April 14, 2019, Mark Stone recorded his first career hat-trick in a 6-3 victory against the San Jose Sharks in game three of the 2019 Stanley Cup playoffs, becoming the first Golden Knight player to achieve this in the playoffs.
On May 10, 2019, Mark Stone was designated an alternate captain for Team Canada, along with Sean Couturier.
On May 26, 2019, Mark Stone helped Canada reach the final of the IIHF World Championship, where they lost to Finland and finished with the Silver Medal. Stone co-led the tournament with Anthony Mantha with 14 points in 10 games and was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player by the media.
In 2019, Mark Stone had been one of the team's alternate captains and was named team captain.
In the 2020-21 season, the regular season was a major success for the Golden Knights, who finished second in the league, behind the Colorado Avalanche. The postseason ended in disappointment when the Knights reached the semi-finals only to be defeated by the Montreal Canadiens.
The 2019–20 season ended prematurely as a result of the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Back problems that had begun following the 2021 playoffs plagued Stone through the 2021–22 season, in which he was able to play only 37 games.
