My Chemical Romance

My Chemical Romance is an influential American rock band formed in New Jersey. Led by Gerard Way, and featuring Ray Toro, Frank Iero, and Mikey Way, the band rose to prominence in the 2000s. While often associated with the emo and pop-punk genres, the band themselves have rejected the 'emo' label. They are considered a major act in the rock music scene of the 2000s.

September 2001: Formation of My Chemical Romance
