TGL is a tech-infused golf league created by TMRW Sports, a venture led by Mike McCarley, Tiger Woods, and Rory McIlroy in partnership with the PGA Tour. The league blends traditional golf with simulated indoor elements, showcasing PGA Tour players. Its inaugural season began in 2025, hosting weeknight matches that align with the PGA Tour schedule, combining real-world golf talent with technological advancements to modernize the sport.

August 2022: NBC Sports Option to Carry TGL Events

In August 2022, a report by Sports Business Journal indicated that NBC Sports had an option to carry TGL events.

August 24, 2022: TGL Formation Announced

On August 24, 2022, the PGA Tour, Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Mike McCarley announced the formation of TGL, featuring six teams of three PGA Tour players. The regular season includes fifteen matches, each lasting two hours and played in prime time on Monday and Tuesday nights, with semifinals and a final match at the end of the season.

February 20, 2023: SoFi Center Groundbreaking
