History of Trae Young in Timeline
Trae Young, nicknamed "Ice Trae", is an American professional basketball player for the Atlanta Hawks. After a standout single season at Oklahoma where he led the NCAA in both points and assists, he was drafted fifth overall by the Dallas Mavericks in 2018 and immediately traded to Atlanta for Luka Dončić. Young was a unanimous selection to the 2019 NBA All-Rookie First Team and has since become a four-time NBA All-Star. He has led the Hawks to three playoff appearances, most notably reaching the Eastern Conference Finals in 2021.
